This is me and my brother walking to see the two beautiful old Ford automobiles of the original owners and a little Kitty cat that wanted to come home with me outside the plantation but Gerald wouldn't let me. Poor thing had no tail and only half of each of his ears. I was tempted to put him in my purse anyway.
It's been awhile since I've posted anything so I need to catch up so my family and friends can see the latest. This is when my mom, brother, and stepdad came down to visit for a few days at the beginning of April. We went to Oak Alley Plantation and did the tour which was very pretty inside and out. The weather was perfect too, so that made it nice. Sunny and barely 70 degrees! My mom could barely understand the girl that gave our tour because she was born and raised in Vacherie, LA. I guess I have gotten used to certain LA accents because I didn't really notice until Mom pointed it out. The Oak trees are a bit over 300 years old! I was trying to imagine everything they have seen.

It looks beautiful there. I love seeing oak trees lined up in a row like that last picture. It's hard to believe that someone actually planted those LONG LONG ago. I bet they would love to see how they look right now.
