NEXT BAILEYTON, AL THEN ARAB TO MY GRANDPARENTS
Baileyton is about an hour north of my mom's house and coincidentally only about 15 minutes from the only grandparents I have ever known which are my moms parents. My dad's died way before I was born. We went to Baileyton and hung out for a few days and went to Boaz and did some shopping, saw my uncle Danny (my dad's brother) who was a watermelon farmer and is now getting into to the chicken house business which is actually very interesting. He has two that hold 24,000 chickens each and they just got the babies. He also got more baby goats. I wanted to go see them but we didn't have time. I was very dissapointed. We had to visit with my grandparents on Saturday. My grandfather who is Italian had his niece Nadia and her husband Roberto in town. It was the first time they have ever been to the United States. So the talk around the house was mostly English or what passes for English in the south, but a lot of Italian from my grandfather his guests, and my grandfather's only son who is fluent is Ivano which is my mom's brother or my uncle. So we played Texas hold em' poker with them which was fun but a bit hard to communicate. But they knew the rules so it wasn't that difficult. Ivano was playing with us and helped translate.
