COOKIN' IT UP

This weekend I was a lean mean cooking machine. AND NO THESE AREN'T THE PICS OF MY DISHES. They looked a bit more home made shall we say. We had our friends over on Saturday night for Asian which I have never really cooked much before. I made the lettuce wraps from Pf Changs and then I made a cabbage stir fry side, and Gerald grilled kabobs that were brushed with some kind of Asian sauce. Thankfully I had my friend Tricia there to help. She is very good at cooking Asian food and she gave me some pointers and helped with the special sauce that wouldn't seem to thicken up. But it turned out great. We played rock band later and got Melanie Billings to wail Metallica's "Sandman" which was FANTASTIC. On Sunday we had the Hutchinson's over for chicken parmesean which was a little better than good, but not great. I need to work on that one. I wasn't going by a recipe so hopefully next time will be magnificent. We watched the Miss Universe pageant which was highly entertaining and we are going to make it a tradition b/c Josh actually watched it with me last year and it was great fun. We like to poke fun of all the contestants. So every year we will try to get together for this monumental occassion. A GREAT WEEKEND! THANKS FOR COMING BY EVERYONE!

For my asian sauce I use corn starch which is great to me because it doesn't have that flour taste you have to cook out first. If that helps.

Sounds yummy! I love chicken parmesan.

Yep that is what my friend said but that was our dilema...I didn't have any. I need to buy some I guess. I never keep it in stock.
