HAPPY THANKSGIVING!!!

This year Gerald had exams right after Thanksgiving so we decided to stay home and try our hand at making our very first Thanksgiving dinner. I had never made a turkey before and since it was just the two of us I took my Dad's advice and just got the breast and not the whole thing. Even still, we still have left overs for a week. It was fun making a nice dinner and not stressful at all. I just stuck with simple things that I know we like and tried not to make the menu too complicated. We had turkey, gravy, mashed potatoes, corn casserole, carrots, and rolls. It was very good. Gerald did most of the cleaning up after and pulled the extra meat off the Turkey. I just seasoned it with olive oil, Thyme, and salt and pepper and a little lemon pepper seasoning. Now we are going to watch football! I just woke up when I started cooking so....yikes! Kitty even had some turkey.
Gerald: I have to say something about our first Thanksgiving dinner we had... The Most Moistest Turkey Breasts Eva!!! The Turkey was AWESOME!!! If any of you would like a sampling feel free to stop by, we have plenty of left overs. Happy Thanksgiving to all!!!

We've been married 7 years now and I've been on this earth 28 years, but I still have never cooked a thanksgiving turkey. Looks like y'all had a serious feast! YUMMY!
